In August 2011 we contracted with Nathan Staal of Green Earth Homes to construct a 3 bedroom house in place of an existing 2 bed house in Buderim QLD. The new house was completed on time in early 2012 and we have since moved in. Green Earth Homes managed the demolition of the old house and the new construction. While the building was proceeding we were not able to be on site at all as we were interstate so we had to depend on Nathan and his crew to do a good job. At all times communications between us were very good and all our questions were promptly and efficiently dealt with. On our return we met with Nathan as arranged to receive our keys and were most pleased with the standard of construction. Since moving in we have found nothing we would consider requires fixing and our new house has been built to a very high standard. We would highly recommend Green Earth Homes to anyone and are very happy with our new home.

Our experience with Green Earth Homes was very positive from start to finish. Workmanship was to a high standard – even our neighbours were impressed as they observed the guys in action. When problems were met along the way due to the discovery of previously unknown situations (eg. pre-existing plumbing faults) these were raised and discussed professionally. We were able to amend the scope of the initial contract in order to fix these problems rather than them being ignored and covered up.

Contract administration, budgeting & the variations process were straightforward and smooth. The costs for variations were fair and if there was a case of us not clearly understanding all cost components then Nathan was at hand to explain so we always knew where we stood.

After trying in vain to find a builder for several months, many not returning calls, not turning up or just not getting back to us with a quote after spending time looking over our job, we decided to post our job on the HIA website. It was through this means that Nathan from Green Earth Homes contacted us.

Nathan project managed the renovation, he knew how to deal with the bureaucracy of the local council, was up to date with contracts and regulations and employed quality tradesmen. We engaged Green Earth Homes to renovate an aging California Bungalow that we bought. The house was a borderline demolition job, but we really wanted to work with what was there in order to retain original character and to cut down on the amount of waste from an environmental perspective.

Nathan assured us he could work with the existing residence and gave us a very reasonable quotation to undertake the work.

Throughout the job Nathan and his team were extremely professional, always followed through with promises, stuck to their original time line, maintained a clean and tidy work site and actually in the end exceeded our expectations.
