Green Earth Homes up for Glossies award for smart living: Buderim Chronicle, pages 4 & 5, June 15, 2011, by Medan Mackander
With home renovations becoming a popular project for homeowners, Green Earth Homes is eager to spread the word of sustainable, green building.
The family-run Buderim-based business was established in 2007 by Nathan Staal with an emphasis on green building practices.
Four years later Nathan and his team have been nominated for a Sunshine Coast Council Living Smart Glossies Award.
The glossies are about recognising and celebrating the sustainable achievements of business, individuals and community groups from the Sunshine Coast.
Green Earth Homes has been nominated for the Living Smart Smart Solutions Award which aims to showcase and recognise a “business, organisation or individual that has demonstrated the improvement of goods and services which encourages the uptake of sustainable behaviour by the community or business”.
Company spokeswoman Grace Barlett said this would be Green Earth Homes‘ first award nomination.
“This is our first time to be nominated for a Glossies award and we are so pleased that our sustainable building services and craftsmanship is being recognised by the boarder community and in particular our clients,” Ms Barlett said.
